Chiappa M1 22 Recall NoticeAug 20, 2017  I first came across the Chiappa Little Badger survival rifle in a magazine a few months ago, and distinctly recall thinking to myself, 'I'm not sure how useful that would be but it sure. May 25, 2012  In April I purchased a Legacy Citadel M1-22 (mfd by Chiappa in Italy).22 LR carbine. The Citadel M1-22 is a very accurate looking replica of the Carbine US. Model M1 of WWII and Korea. My version has the wood stock and was very well finished. Upon firing, I experienced issues with bulged cases just forward of the rim and the an out of battery detonation!
Recently bought a Citadel carbine from Cabelas -$300. I returned it the next day. It is made by Chiappa in Italy. Before buying one of these you should be aware that much of the rifle is polymer (plastic). The plastic parts are the rear and front sights, the trigger guard, the trigger, the type 3 barrel band-don't know about the inside. If you're OK with that, fine. It comes with a wood or black nylon stock. My examination at the store was too hasty and I blame myself for that.
